Funded postdoctoral positions (and possibly PhD positions) in theoretical physics on many-body quantum dynamics with start dates in 2025 are available. Please contact me at amos.chan@lancaster.ac.uk if you're interested.
Hi, I am a theoretical physicist. I think mostly about strongly-correlated many-body quantum systems, particularly in the out-of-equilibrium quantum dynamics of these systems. My research interests include many-body quantum chaos, open many-body quantum systems, many-body localization, constrained systems, quantum dimer models, topics in quantum information, field theories, tensor networks etc.
I am a lecturer (equivalent to "assistant professor") at the Lancaster University from September 2022. I am very grateful to be funded by a 5-year EPSRC Open Fellowship from May 2024. I was a Princeton Center for Theoretical Science Postdoctoral Fellow and Croucher Fellow (honorary) at the Princeton University between 2019 and 2022. I graduated from DPhil Theoretical Physics under the supervision of Prof. John Chalker in the University of Oxford in 2019.
Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to collaborate or just have a chat!
